Spatial metadata describes the 'what', 'where', 'who', 'when' and 'how' aspect of spatial data.
The NSW Spatial Data Catalogue (NSDC) is the central repository for the publication of metadata describing NSW Local and State Government
spatial data.
The NSDC allows you to search for data, find out what data exists, where and how to access the data, the data's fitness for purpose, who/when
and how the data was created, how often it is updated, the geographic extent of the dataset, as well as the rights and restrictions that apply to
the dataset.
